Broken Bow Western is a country bar and dance hall in the Ballpark district, opened in April 2026 in the former Mile High Spirits distillery. It has a wooden dance floor, a stage for local and touring country acts, a full bar, a patio with a food truck, and a retail shop for the Western apparel brand behind it. Nights range from acoustic songwriter rounds to full-band shows, with swing-dancing lessons in the mix.

The Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre is the largest stage in the Denver Performing Arts Complex downtown. Converted in 1991 from the old Denver Auditorium Arena into a roughly 2,800-seat theater, it's the home of touring Broadway productions brought in by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, along with concerts and comedy. The Gothic Theatre is a restored Art Deco concert hall on South Broadway in Englewood. Opened in the 1920s as a movie house, it now hosts touring and local acts of every genre, from indie and rock to hip-hop and electronic, in a mid-sized room that keeps the crowd close to the stage.

Hosting literally thousands of concerts and events over the past 75+ years, the history of entertainment at Red Rocks tends to follow the arc of popular culture and popular music. Opera, classical and chamber music performances of the early 1900s to 1940s gave way to the rock and roll and psychedelic music of the 1960s and 70s. Soft rock took over the venue for the majority of the 1970s, a genre deemed “safe” for the amphitheatre after a tumultuous and legendary Jethro Tull concert in 1971 resulted in a ban on rock and roll music being performed at the venue enacted by then-Mayor William H. McNichols and San Feiner, director of the city’s Theaters and Arenas division at the time.
